culture: the word on cheese is a young and growing magazine with a main office in Cambridge, MA. We're always looking for talented, organized, and creative folks to join our family. Below are our current opportunities.


Internships


We are currently accepting applications for our summer internship cycle. Summer internships last from May to September. Interns must be available to work in one of our offices, no telecommuting.

Online Editorial Intern


Based in Boston/Cambridge, 13 week position, 16-24 hours per week, flexible scheduling
We are seeking an online editorial intern to work closely with our web director. Online editorial interns will learn about culture’s Content Management System (CMS), web analytics, and online editorial process. Online interns will be responsible for monitoring website analytics, organizing web assets, and researching potential bloggers or online partners for culture. Each online editorial intern will have the opportunity to do a unique internship project based on the culture website's popular blog.

Digital Publishing Intern


Based in Berkeley CA/East Bay, 13 week position, 12-24 hours per week, flexible scheduling
We are currently seeking a publishing intern to work with our director of special projects in Berkeley CA. Interns will learn about digital publishing and workflow, and participate in production, marketing and collaboration with partner companies on eBooks and content-driven apps. Interns will have an opportunity to contribute to culture's social media streams, as well as completing a unique project utilizing our digital publishing platforms.

Sales & Marketing Interns


Based in Napa CA, 13 week position, 8-12 hours per week, flexible scheduling
We are seeking a marketing and sales intern to work with our retail director. The sales and marketing intern will have the chance to learn about direct sales and marketing to retailers, creating and executing promotions and marketing campaigns to retailers, and--when possible--will provide booth coverage at west coast cheese festivals where we sell the magazine. Applicants should be comfortable on the phone and in person, be interested in copy writing and design, and have research skills. Each sales and marketing intern will have the opportunity to work on a unique sales or marketing project.
