The New York Times Wants Your Most Colorful Cheese Description
Judging from this story last week, sometimes a provocative label garners even more of a reaction than the cheese inside!
Perhaps with this in mind, The New York Times Diner's Journal is currently hosting an open call for creative and colorful cheese descriptions; the winning entry will be selected and posted on their blog later this week. With an invitation to be as silly or witty as possible, there are sure to be some hilarious pop culture references, excellent cheese puns, and spot-on tasting notes to read!
If you’ve got a favorite cheese, and a fragrant way with words, we here at the Dining section cordially invite you to submit the wittiest description of that cheese that you can dream up.
Havarti haiku? Vacherin villanelle? Reblochon rant? Use whatever form of expression you wish. Just keep the cheese riff to 75 words or less. And submit it here. Later in the week we’ll pick a champion.
