New York Raw Milk Cheeses on Inaugural Luncheon Menu

After the presidential inauguration on January 21, the President, First Lady, and honored guests will enjoy a luncheon featuring two raw milk artisan cheeses from the Cooperstown Cheese Company in Milford, NY.

Sharon Thomaselli and Bob Sweitzer, former executives in the specialty paper industry, launched their cheesemaking business seven years ago; they currently purchase raw milk from two local family farms and have the capacity to produce about 750 pounds of cheese a day. The two cheeses on the menu for the inaugural luncheon are Jersey Girl Colby and Toma Celena, an award-winning Alpine style.
