Cape Codders are not accustomed to local, farm fresh milk, but soon they will be. Don Chapin and Tanya Daigneault of Yarmouth Port plan to open Circle Back Farm Dairy on the Cape by this summer.

Although Chapin and Daigneault are starting out with a small herd of cows and goats, they are confident that their products will be well-received. "If we just produce milk we’ll produce 40 to 50 gallons a week. That’s not a whole lot. But not only will you know the farm the milk came from you’ll know the cow,” Chapin says. They also plan to produce value-added products such as yogurt, cheese, and soap.
