Leftover Whey = Baby Food?
Dairy Crest, a leading dairy company in the UK, is taking the leftovers from its cheesemaking process and using them to make demineralized whey powder--the main ingredient in baby food. This crafty cheese company is not letting any of their dairy go to waste.
The company was created by the Milk Marketing Board in the 1950s to turn Britain’s leftover milk into cheese and butter, but now plans to use its own leftovers to drive a new expansion.
