Need Some Goats in Your Life? Visit This Cafe in Tokyo
If you're in Tokyo, you can enjoy a friendly goat-nuzzle along with your morning coffee -- at least, that's the idea behind the new Goat Cafe, the latest in the "animal cafe" trend in Japan. The cafe owners chose goats because they aren't as common as dogs and cats. Wondering how it smells in there? We were too -- the animals are fed a special diet to prevent stinky droppings.
Customers can pet the goats in their pen while drinking a coffee, or book a slot to take them for a walk through the crowded area surrounding Shibuya station, a hub for commuters and Tokyo's trend-conscious youth.
"When you live in the city like I do, places where you can meet animals are so far away and you rarely get the time to go there," said Kotaro Nakazato, a 21-year-old university student.
