Dogfish Head Introduces Us To Sixty One: A Beer and Wine Blend!
We've heard of sour beers that utilize traditional wine-making techniques, but actually combining an IPA with wine? That's taking it to the next level! This week, Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales (based out of Delaware) released their first new year-round offering since 2007: Sixty One. By pairing the dry and hoppy flavors of their original Sixty-Minute IPA with Syrah from California, Dogfish Head has created a cherry-red blend that's both bitter and fruity: a unique tasting experience, even for the most adventurous palates!
The folks at Dogfish Head are constantly experimenting, but they haven't released a new year-round beer since 2007. This month, Sam Calagione and his team are offering up a new core beer that brings together beer and wine in one 12-ounce bottle.
