Adventures In Roquefort, France
If you're a lover of Roquefort, the pungent, sheep's milk cheese that's become an icon over the years, you may want to plan your next vacation to the town where it all began. Or you can just read this article from Forbes. Or both!
We took the road from Toulouse to the small town of Roquefort, perched on the mountainside, and the trip became part of the experience. Tight winding roads snake their way up the midi-Pyrénées, through hidden villages via two-way roads big enough for only one car (an exciting challenge when greeted by headlights halfway through a mountain tunnel), and the intoxicating vistas only added to the anticipation.
