Fayetteville Sip & Dip is a partnership between the Northwest Arkansas Cheese Dip Classic and the Fayetteville Foam Fest. The event will feature the region’s first cheese dip competition from 2pm – 6pm, as well as the first large scale beer sampling festival ever held in Northwest Arkansas from 5pm – 9pm. Attendees will enjoy over 300 beers from around the world, and local celebrities, food critics, and political dignitaries will join the public in voting to decide which cheese dip will best represent the Northwest Arkansas region at the 3rd Annual World Cheese Dip Championship in Fall 2012.

The cheese dip competition will be divided into Amateur and Professional divisions, and winners will receive cash prizes, as well as trophies created by a local artist. The Professional Division winner will also receive free entry into the 3rd Annual World Cheese Dip Championship and hotel accommodations for Championship Weekend in Little Rock.

“Cheese dip and beer compliment each other perfectly, and we are excited to be partnering with the Fayetteville Foam Fest to create a legendary event at the Washington Country Fairgrounds,” said event coordinator John McClure. “In addition to amazing beer and cheese dip, we will have live music from local and regional artists, children’s activities, and other food and beverages for sale.”

Proceeds from the Northwest Arkansas Cheese Dip Classic will benefit the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas, whose mission is to create brighter futures for single-parent families by offering encouragement and access to higher education through community supported efforts. Fayettevile Foam Fest proceeds will benefit Feed Fayetteville, a local non-profit who aims to alleviate hunger through the cultivation of a local, sustainable food network.

Admission to the Northwest Arkansas Cheese Dip Classic is $10, and tickets for the Fayetteville Foam Fest are $30. Entrance tickets for both events can be purchased together for $35.
